Alan Bennett was a sailor by vocation whose passion, or "raison
d'être," turned to astronomy after he and a co-worker experienced an unexplained
phenomenon at sea in November 1975. Call it a vision, a sighting or whatever you
like, but from that point forward he found his thoughts filled with mathematics and
geometric patterns and relationships. He began drawing pictures of geometric
polygons and sensed that there was something in this that had to do with the solar system.
His new interest led him to study the science of ancient
civilizations. His first insights into the connection of his thoughts to the solar
system came in reading "The Secret of the Great Pyramid" by Peter
Tompkins. Here it became clear that the ancient man knew of some of the same
relationships that he had been working with, and that they appeared in the geometry of
pyramids in Mexico, China and Egypt. Alan's beliefs on the deeper
meaning of the solar geometries are shared on the
Perspectives page.
The work shown in this site is original, but Alan believed that others
before him have had the same insights into the solar system and that this knowledge has
been long since lost. It was his passion and pleasure to bring this knowledge to you
in hopes that it will bring us to a deeper understanding of our universe, and of our
Creator, who crafted it with such amazing perfection.
